Religious Education

Vision for RE

Religious Education at All Saints' aims to motivate and inspire children through an engaging curriculum that challenges all learners whilst ensuring that the school Christian values are at the heart.

RE enables pupils to appreciate and explore their own and others’ beliefs, as well as their impact on society. It helps them to develop a clear understanding of the significance of religion in their own area as well as the world around them. Children are given the confidence and skills to question, debate and discuss varying viewpoints.

RE teaching provides our children with religious literacy, enabling every child to hold a balanced and well-informed conversation about religion and belief. All children will leave school with an understanding of Christianity and of other Global religions as well as non-religious views.

Subject Leader in RE

Mrs Kaylee Hayes is the RE Subject Leader at All Saints Primary School and is dedicated to promoting high-quality Religious Education throughout the school. She ensures that the RE curriculum is engaging, inclusive, and provides pupils with opportunities to explore different faiths, beliefs, and worldviews while fostering respect and understanding. Mrs Hayes is passionate about Religious Education because she believes it plays a vital role in developing children's empathy, critical thinking, and appreciation of diversity. She recognises that RE encourages meaningful discussion, reflection, and personal growth, equipping pupils with the knowledge, values, and understanding needed to become respectful, compassionate, and responsible members of society. Her commitment to inspiring pupils through Religious Education reflects her dedication to nurturing well-rounded learners who value the beliefs and experiences of others.
